The statement that goes with Olympus DSLR E-1 is as follow:

"The E-1 creates a common standard for image sensor size and lens configurations. Based on the Four Thirds open standard, the E-1 offers a new Full-Frame Transfer CCD for increased dynamic range, improved color, and reduced image noise. "

Is this a way of misleading word FF or Olympus really has Full Frame aspect in their sensors for so cheap?

The E-1 is a 2x crop. It's not FF. Maybe they're trying to trick you. :|

Your choice of text color is hard to read because of the color of the forum.

Yup, it's hard to get people go give constructive replies to posts if they have a hard time reading the post in the first place.

Handy trick for reading bad text, click at the front of it and drag to the end so that you "select" the text and it becomes much easier to read.

Regarding Olympus, blurb comes from their marketing department which means that its 95% bulls#1+. What you should read is

"The E-1 creates a common standard for image sensor size and lens configurations. Based on the Four Thirds open standard, the E-1 offers a new Full-Frame Transfer CCD for increased dynamic range, improved color, and reduced image noise. "

See theres some truth in there, you just have to find it.

LOL - That about sums it up.

Olympus tried to essentially invent a new "4/3" standard, but so far, I don't think that anybody has jumped into the format. It's strengths would be the availibility of a smaller, lighter camera. I'm not sure that any of the Olympus offerings are smaller or lighter than the Canon XTi/400D.

Very informative and well answered. T H A N K S  very much.
No wonder they are not selling much in USA in DSLR market.
I am wondering if this is the reason they boycotted North American market with their new body E-400:evil:
My only surprise is what happened to that legendary Olympus that used to make off the regular photo seller's shelf, camera for NASA to take in Apollo mission as opposed to Nikon F-3 that had to be boosted prior to sale to NASA with turbocharger and other gizmos.

Yeah it is the corporate meatheads. The genius behind Olympus' success in the SLR market was the designer Maitani. I believe he retired and/or fell out of favor with the beancounter corporate meatheads who decided to abandon the SLR market and concentrate on the P&S market and the ZLR market. The rest is unfortunately history.

Not sure about your original question, but just a hint. Your choice of font colors makes it very difficult for older eyes to read. Just an FYI.
