Nice. Post some shots...ducks, geese, whatever...hehe. Show it off!

Also, rebates are prolly available to you, if you can get your retailer. They might be able to give you a receipt that states the 15th of Oct., then you can send in the rebate form, once it comes out.

Nonetheless, very nice choice. I don't have one, but would love one.
Cheers,
i.

Yep I think it is a sure way to poverty :) but at least i'll have some nice snaps on the way.

Im in the UK, so dont get the same rebates, I have some rebate vouchers but they dont include the 24-105.

BTW - If your in the UK, Jessops are now price matching (stores and websites) on all thier products, I got them to price match and it brought the price down by £200.

Great lens, what type of body do you have a FF or crop frame?

Thats VERY good going ! They often promise to match, but then refuse when they see how much people demand in savings.
Where did they match against ? Did you just print the web page ?

Congrats though!

It was just good timimg with me, I had some vouchers to spend with Jessops so phoned to see if they would price match thier own website with discount codes (as its often cheeper then the store). The said yes but they would also price match any website, at which point I quickly asked if they had the 24-105 in stock instead of the 28-135, she said yes. And I told her the price at wharhouse ecpress, and she checked the price there and then, and reserved it for me to collect :D. So no haggling or arguing when I got there, just had a play with the lens, liked the look and feel, so didn't bother looking at the 28-135, and came home a Happy man.
