maybe is the fall colors, but colors look a little dull to me, could be more rich.

Taghkanic is east of the Hudson....the Finger Lakes are more NW I believe...

Where exactly in the Finger Lakes Region? I was just up to Watkins Glen/Letchworth/Tremen this past July and a bunch of friends are there this weekend shooting fall colors....

I agree the colors are a tad dull...but, from what I've seen here in NY so far, they are dull....BLEH! Still a nice image, though :)

Only thing I _might_ do is to bring her to the right more to get a Rule of Thirds going...I'm drawn to the leaves to her right at first...

Best,

Tom D

Nice shot...a little fill flash to brighten her face a bit may have helped.

The lighting is a bit flat, and the shot looks blurry around her face. Not out of focus, just badly compressed maybe...

Nice. The leaf coloring is a bit flat as everyone else said, but you've got to hit it at the right time as they're turning.

I like the falls in the background too.

The only thing I'd have done differently is crop it so there's less free space above her head.

Good shot. I'd frame it.:)

nice but yes, flash would have helped it big time, do you own a flash yet? if not you should, they are great but almost needed for portraits.. esp out side, they help lots!
