This is Nigel Creek Water fall. Its in Banff National Park in Alberta along the highway between Banff and Jasper. Strange thing about it is most people do not know it even exists because its practically under a bridge. I was about 200 ft above this water fall and the falls must have been 4-6 stories high. At the end of the season it is impressive but in late April when the snow is melting off the mountains it is probably even better!

Both take hand held because that is all I could do. Any comments are most welcomed.

Very nice, esp. for handheld. Both are quite nice and I can't decide which I prefer. Right now I'm leaning toward the one w/ the blue pool of water beneath the falls.

Good shots. Funny, I've travelled that road six times and was not aware of this. I'll have to look harder next time.

Like the second one, coz i am partial towards waterfalls being shot at slow shutter speeds, and also as it shows the water falling into the pool.

Few people are. Only reason I even found out was we talked to a local and they cally the bridge "Spittin Bridge" because you have to count how many seconds it takes for your spit to fall down. I'd love to go back at a time other then dusk and walk down the bottom and shoot with a tripod. But the walk alone probably would take 2 hours because the creek is basically in a phisher or giant crack in the mountain and the road is high close to the tree line.

Is there away to step back to get the whole scene so we can see it in its enviroment?

Not at all. It's basically you're on a bridge and you look down and you can see it down there. The only good angles I saw were on the bridge to get the falls down and even that I angle I got part of the bridge in. To show how high it is, here is the other side of the bridge. And those are Telephone pole sized trees.

Nice shots, I prefer the 2nd shot with the nice blue water below. It would've been nice to see a bit wider as Weka suggested but you did fine for the locations and conditions you had to shoot with.
