You are kidding right? The best landscape shots are made with full frame cameras! :)

I think you've mixed up what they said. They said they can't imagine you with nothing shorter than 70mm. That means that they can't imagine you going without a wide angle, which perpetuates what you said, basically.

Okay... with shipping and before awesome rebates, I have come to a total of $2487.22 with the following:

Bogen / Manfrotto 680B 4-Section Compact Monopod (Black) - $52.95

Canon BP-511A Lithium-Ion Battery (2) - $99.90

EF 24-70mm f/2.8L USM Autofocus Lens - $1,099.95

Canon 17-40mm f/4L USM Lens - $679.95

Sandisk 4GB Extreme III CompactFlash Card (2) - $359.92

Hoya 77mm Circular Polarizer (S-HMC) Super Multi-Coated Glass Filter - $172.50

Yes the polarizer is a lot.... but it also will fit all 3 of my lenses. And as far as batteries go, IMO... I just cant have too many... Just like memory. I like to drain my batteries all the way each time. So when I know my batteries are getting low... and I will be shooting quite a bit... Well, I will charge the second set accordingly.

I'll be purchasing this on the 18th.

I know you have $ 2500 to spend, but I personally wouldnt waste a single dollar on a 4GB Extreme III. You could get one of these for $82 http://www.newegg.com ….asp?Item=N82E16820208049 (external link). I know its not a sandisk, but ive heard theres really no difference between CF. And its 120 x write speed, im sure you would be hard pressed to outshoot it (unless you enjoy shooting JPEG+RAW)

or one of these 8gb for $145. http://www.newegg.com ….asp?Item=N82E16820183021 (external link)

Just my opinion. but im also a sixteen year old on a restaurant budget, so obviously money is much different to me than you.

put the psaug code in on B&H, and your 17-40 will drop to $629.

Oh, and whether you do it now or when you get the rebates back, it'd be a good idea to pick up a 50 1.4. You'll be amazed at how different it is on the 5D.

I would suggest a look at the 200 f/2.8 L and the 135 f/2.0L.

Why would he want the 200 f/2.8L when he already has the 70-200 f/2.8L IS?

How much are you asking for your 200 Doc?

I would look into a 1.4 or 2x teleconverter, to increase the reach of that 70-200. Then, a 24-105 (unless you want something faster than an f/4), or 24-70 and the 17-40 as far as lenses go.

To bad the 16-35 are out of your reach, with other combinations...it's a great WA...especially on the 5D.

The 16-35 isnt out of my reach. I just said I need to limit myself.... I can afford the 16-35. I would just be spending a bit over $3,000.
