Smaller sized because with flickr its either this, or extremely large.

The idea behind the assignment was to shoot an artist of some kind. I shot a Makeup Artist, so we did her eye makeup all crazy and tried to focus on that. Most of the images are high key to emulate the effects they use in Cosmetics Ads to make the skin look much smoother.

Still photography is definitely not my thing either. This was shot in my friends backyard and was my first time using any sort of light modifiers.

P.S.: The model is only 15, so don't get any dirty thoughts.

My favorite would have to be 5.

I like the tight crop, and your focus is really interesting.

But, if you're going for the focus on the artist side, deffinately 7.

Very nice shot of her with knowledge that she's into makeup artistry.

I chose tight crops for 2 reasons...

a.) she's a makeup artist and I didnt think the rest of her was really important to the shot

and

b.) It was shot in a backyard with the following backdrop:

Beautiful girl, with alot of talent. (wish my 14yr old niece could do makeup like that.) You did an awesome job for first time and thanks for showing your setup. For those of us still learning it is great to see how others do it. Great job.
