As some older salts here might remember, my present brick copy (aka 24-70L) is the third one I have tried and settled on.
The lens has since become my old battlehorse.....invariably, whenever I have no specialized photo purpose, the brick ends up on the camera.
To me, the IQ is just good all around, every which way. The lens ain't finicky, it seldom surprises in a negative way.
This evening we went for a walk to our local marina. I took some casual snaps, handheld as always, well past the golden hour, at ISO 200 and unseemly low shutterspeeeds. Looking at the JPGS, I am quite pleased with the veracity of subtle colours that the 20D+ 24-70L managed to capture.
That's the purpose of this post.....to attempt to share with you some of that overall IQ stimmung that the setup managed to captured rather well. Again, remember, these are JPGs resized for the web, straight outta camera.
I do not know if these small images can really convey the "feeling", but I'll try.
