I photographed this GBH last year at I'm pretty sure the year before. We have spent many hours looking for this one all spring and summer and had all but given up on ever seeing him again. This guy has managed to survive with this injury since we believe 2004. He does appear to be in poor shape and the tear in his skin is larger than last year. We found him in his favorite fishing hole, the same spot where we first saw him. Here's a link to a shot I posted of him awhile back. https://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=142306

The first shot below is a close-up of how he looks today (bad side). The other is a shot my wife took, one showing the good side.

Thanks for the update, it is amazing how some animals are able to survive in spite of their difficulities.
