Very good, sky little too light, trees little too dark, photo taken 10 minutes earlier would maybe be better.

I took some 10 minutes before that, but the sun wasn't visible and so it was kind of dull looking. I also took some with film, which will surely come out better; Digital cameras are still not so great for these kind of high contrast scenes. Thanks for your comments.

I like the shot...and how the clouds are atop the mountain. The star pattern of the Sun is also cool. Maybe a polarizer or ND filter might have helped the colors out a bit more...and also remove a bit of the haze. Otherwise, I like it, and think that the reflections from the water are a nice touch.

Thanks for sharing...sounds like a great morning. Oh, and good morning to you too!

Is this pattern done with a filter?

so is that Mt. Fuji? I was there for a month about 3 months ago Camp Fuji by the JSDF base doing some training. Then when we where done had the chance to climb it. I personly didnt but a buch of my buddies did it. 18 hours to climb to the top and back down. Lots of sights in japan if you take the express train to Hiroshima then drive to the port take a boat to Miyajima. Its beautiful and a photographers paradise. Monkey Mountan and all the old buildings and nature trails. I cant wait to get back to Okinawa... :(

Perfect timing. I like how the exposure came out perfect. The silloutte of the trees on the right, while the trees on left are still carrying their natural green. The stared sun is also a great touch. The reflection also came out quite lovely, the water wasn't too calm or too unstable. Nice dreamy look to it.

Yes, it's Mount Fuji, taken from the other side. So you were in Gotemba? You should climb it next time. I've made it to the top 10 times already!
