Well,

I have been waiting more than 6 months to have a clear night with a full moon. It can be perfect weather, but when the full moon comes around, it is raining. Last night was the full moon but raining. Sitting in my house tonight drinking a couple of beers and contemplating my bad luck about the moon and my daughter runs in and says the moon is out (still rainy weather) so I run outside and get about four shots before the clouds block out the moon again. this is taken right outside my front door. But, I am semi happy with the shot, although the wife named it "full moon night".... YUCK (but don't tell her).

I guess the moral is if you wait long enough you will get the chance (or maybe the moral is make sure the daughter carries the camera after you had a few beers to set up on the tripod. shot at 400MM, 1/30th at iso 100. C&C welcomed (except the name which the wife selected - I have to make sure I don't get credit for that)
