Hi all,

I've been hovering reading the forums for awhile now, and decided I'd register and post. I took this one on Friday at the local zoo. Big cats, birds of prey are my favourite subjects but I'm happy to try anything. Hope you like.

Very nice shot there. Great shame about the bars there, although you could do a better job of cloning them out. I tend to leave bars in mine if they're in the way.

If you can get close enough to the bars, minimise the depth of field on the subject as much as possible by using a wide aperture as possible. That way you can blur out the bars to such an extent that they don't really matter.

Great composure though....

Hi thanks,

I just noticed what your speaking of and I'm not sure why they are there, its not in the original? I think it must be due to the compression on upload? This is the original, lets see if its any better?

Ahh... much better... I saw those jaggy lines and thought it was just the bars being cloned out.

Looks great now!
