A Common Gull

Another great capture, Damian. Classic misnomer they are far from common.

Well focused, well exposed. However, in order to be helpful we need to go beyond reflex praise, so I hope you will not mind.
In order to get to one step further with the flight shots like that, three little tips....try to find some interesting/colourful background, capture the catchlight in bird's eye (no photoshop !), capture a fuller upwards extension of wings, as early in the power (down) stroke as possible.

Thanks Trevor. The black-headed gull should be called the common gull if you ask me.
