I am very inexperienced, but have a great mentor. I have only had my 20D for about 6 weeks, but I’m working really hard... going to seminars, watching DVD’s, and reading a lot.
I have taken pictures of a few friends, trying to get a body of work together to show potential clients.
I was getting my plates renewed at the BMV, when I saw a very beautiful young girl... Let’s face it, pretty people make for an easy time getting pretty pictures. I approached this perfect stranger and asked her if she would model for me for a free 8X10. I explained that they would be "senior style pictures" and "I’m not just some perv with a camera." I asked her to bring someone along. I’m sure she assumed it was to make her feel safe, but I actually just needed someone to hold a reflector lol.
She brought her mom, and they purchased 5X7's & a sheet of wallets as well as the free 8X10. Now, I know this is a very modest purchase, but remember... they were not looking for a photographer, I was looking for a model
These are the images they bought. They are not perfect, but I’m curious if you guys will pick up on the same things as me, or if you will show me things I can do better that I haven’t thought of. Thanks for your input.

you could have avoided the shade on the right side of the nose though (pic3). loving the skin tones.
