Well I deffinately like the wide version the best. Looks absolutely fantastic. Maine looks like a very nice place.

What a difference between the lens. Can't make up my mind which I like more, however I'm leaning to the 28.

C/C; dust on your sensor.

Well, I like the both differently, like your own children, each for different reasons...the 28mm for realisum and the 10mm for effect...yes...no...??

What I like about the wide version is the sky is basically perfect for a landscape but the mountain is complete. It doesn't look cropped at all and is very wide open where you can essentially almost see it as your eye sees images. Thats what I like about it. Looks good.

And dude, seriously, you are hurting my wallet with these images, already looking at a Canon 10-22  LOL. (thanks :))

Canon ! No wonder you are hurting your wallet!...that should produce some results.... Agggg , I just discovered that about 1/2 way thru the Lazy Tom Bog shoot my ISO went from 200 to800 with no concious help from me...that's twice in that this has happened...how is that possible (and how is it possible I wouldn't notice it!) wow...now I have a bunch of barely usable stuff...no wonder some of my shots appeared soft...this is weird, later in the day it goes back to ISO 200...too weird..is this a possible malfunction ??

That killer sky is one of the best reasons for an ultra wide lens. No other way to get all of that. Nice shot.

I'll go with the wide angle again though it lacks foreground interest. Then again, you're showing examples and not asking for C&C so, perhaps I shouldn't critique. ;) :D

I like the wideangle one more than the first. I think it's more of the composition in the 2nd that sells it for me. The first is just a shot of the island and doesn't really have any feeling to it whereas the second has that brilliant sky and the off centre placement of the island gives it character.

BTW, someone need to clean their camera ;)

The 10mm shot in this thread is way more impressive than the 28mm as it captures the clouds very nicely.
I know that it's been mentioned here and in the other thread, but I'll nag too - clean your sensor! ;)

I also like the uberwide better.

Ya, I think my project for today is to clean my sensor!!!Agggggghhhh! By the way...the ISO thing mentioned above....I started thinking about the shooting day and looking at photos and data...The ISO changed when I changed lenses from the Tamron to the Sigma, and back again when I put the Tamron back on....according to exif info...The camera's don't have some sort of lens menory or vise versa do they? I'm going to try and duplicate this situation tonight (after I clean my sensor!) Thanks for looking and suggestions everyone ....
