Hi there,
yesterday we went on a bit of a drive to have a day out and about drove around 450km or something like that. Along part of the south coast of victoria. We started at the 12 apostles actually it's no longer 12 it's 7 apostles. It was windy windy windy but glorious site. Then along the coast to Peterborough where I shot this interesting landscape. Then we went to Port Fairy and did a walk called the lighthouse walk a 8km walk across a colony of short tailed shearwater (Mutton Birds) they are seabirds that make burrows and raise young in them. Then they go out to sea feeding for days on end and return home to feed thier young, 2 amazing things about this. There are literally 100,000's of these birds....and they know where there babies are! the other amazing thing is there are 2 or 3 species of deadly snakes (to which my wife saw her first yesterday) but they enter the burrows and feed on chicks until they reach a certain size, when too big the snakes then spend 5 months sleeping along side the snakes, and don't die! lol

Comments most welcome as always

Regards Darren

Great colours on the first shot... shame they are all disappearing.

The first is a real eye popper, excellent colors.
Nice position of the lighthouse on the third.

Great shots! Polarizers really help out in these instances.
