I was so glad to get the chance to take his picture - I swear, he was asleep with his eyes open. Almost did a double-take when he "saw" me and flew away.

Nice closeup and I like the composition. It is a little soft around the head/eye area. IMHO a little toning down on the brightness and a little more sharpenning could help this otherwise very nice image.
