zzpethe, Take some sample shots with and without the polarizer, with your camera in manual (M) mode. Set the exposure correctly and snap a fewwhen the filter is not on your lens. Then install the filter but do not change the exposure settings. Snap a few more pics of the same scene while only adjusting the position of your filter. I think this will make the effects of your polarizer more obvious.
My hunch here is that there just wasn't alot of polarized light when you have used the filter, making it easy for the auto exposure of the camera to compensate for, and minimze the effects of the filter on the finished product. Just a hunch, that's all.
