Last week I noticed some activity around two of the Bald eagle's nest in my area. There were two returning pairs, one at each nest. This morning around sunrise, they were busy getting the nest in order. These were taken right after sunrise, one baldy was busy getting branches to the nest and the second is the pair checking out the winter home. (both shots are crops) shot with the 100-400L

Both are impressive but I really love that first one with the wing blur and great focus on the face.

Excellent shots of the Bald Eagle Keith. I love the shot of the nest and to see two of them there. But my favourite is the first one, the in-flight this is a beautiful capture, well done.

This year both nest have two eagles already occupying them, so there should be some great ops here. They are already at work strengthening them with new branches. I hope they stick around.

Thanks guys for the comments!

Both of these are great shots Keith. The first one is my favorite as well, but I like your timing on the second shot. The intense look on the eagle looking down really captures my eye.

Glad to see your birds made it through the summer and have returned home. Keep us abreast of their activities.

Very good shots, especially the spot on focus in #1. I find it more of a challenge not blowing out the whites on their heads then anything else I shoot.
