Dec.23,06.
However, the contest is not on yet (officially), before the moderators sanction it and accept the judging duty.

Geez that long for 3 duck shots? Glad it's not something like a hawk or I might die before seeing the results. Pick up the pace. How about 10-23? 2006 that is! You 2 roll your wheelchairs down to the duck pond and snap away

What's the rush, Jojo ? This is like a calm before the storm....let Dante boy use this time to practice in peace.

Incidentally, I would be very disappointed in you if you were to render any "consulting services" to Dante such as shooting ducks for him etc.;)

It just strikes me that you reside in Ca......however, you are probably down south, in Aztlan. Dante lives in the Canadian part of California which we still have to claim....oh yeah, it will come one day.

Morehen, if we lived next door to a bird taxidermy shop like ostensibly you do, or a bird shelter, then all this would be much easier and more expedient.

Nahhh, too much of a fast lens, not enough handicap.....would make it too easy.;)

I don't shoot ducks; I prefer street signs and brick walls :D So he's on his own, my friend.

The Canadian part of CA, ay?! You are correct in that I am in so-Cal, home of the world champion Los Angeles Lakers (well...cough...a few years ago at least).

My patience is running thin, Peter. I want to see some recycled Coke bottle glass smoke all that flourite garbage...

Agreed ... good therapy for any Kalifornian to have to wait for something. Remember the Hare and the Tortoise Jo ;-)a Or, the L addict needs to remember that foreplay can be just as pleasant as the climax of pressing the B&H buy button!

True, true........the joy of waiting for the brown truck transcends the bliss of hugging the UPS driver...

(That somehow did not come accross right.... )

Yea right next door! I can mail you a couple of those plastic decoys for you to practice shooting with that magical kit lens' DOF on before you tackle the real thing :). And dante I can mail a set of special test batteries to zero in the DOF on his 300 2.8.

On a side note I vote for no 'duck pond' or zoo ducks allowed in contest. You guys should at least have to shoot some semi wild ducks in a natural setting!

Remember who's involved son  This isn't SSim and CDS ;-)a They've already agreed to raise the bar by negating stuffed and drugged quacks.

OK smart guy, wanna join the invitational here as the third contestant ?
One condition only......gotta shoot with your 500 mm prime.
    Mwuahahahahah. (Whispering to miself: "Gawd, what a plan, what a plan, now I just need to find two more.......the 400 f/2.8 and the 600 f/4, so that I can whip all four Canon's fat white fluorite arses in one swoop")

It would sure be embarrassing to be beat by that 18-55 kit!! And just look at all the time I would have to worry between now and Dec.
