They are lacking a few key elements for a good skate shot...

We need to see the stairs he's doing a trick off of to give some sort of frame of reference. Is it a 2 stair, a 5 stair, a 10 stair? we cant tell because the crops too tight.

Most night shots like this are shot with multiple flashes or studio light set ups, and for good reason. With just what looks like a non-diffused on-camera flash, and him so close to the background, you have hard distracting shadows and blow out highlights on the steps.

and Honestly as a long time skateboarder, I would've waited for a cleaner version of the trick. They are both pretty sloppy...
