A half decent shot in here ? I won`t mind a bit if the general consensus is no ! I just thought that with a bit of pp`ing something could be made of it. If not tell me in no uncertain terms. Well no too uncertain.

Ha. I'd leave it alone except for that sensor dust spot. :D

Thanks for the reply mate. The general consensus seems to be that the lack of response says "^&%" off ! If you mean the spot in front of the birds beak then it is not sensor dust. I recently posted a shot with lots of these blobs, it is stuff floating in the water, and was asked, very politely, to remove them.
I declined but somebody did it for me and, to be honest, the shot looked better for it.

It's a decent shot snappa and with a bit of popping it will do it good justice. Just lacking a little contrast and a little light but the sharpness is there and composed well for the in-flight, nice one mate, well done.

i think there is i did an eddit ( shadow highlight- color balance- contrast -seltive sharpen of the head and a little saturation too :) it might show a bit of noise but i think you have a great shot here.

Thank you Mitch, Tony and Rob. The shot was taken in fairly dreadful conditions as you can see but as I am worse than useless at PP`ing I thought i would put it up anyway.
Thank you.

There's a nice shot in there, John.

My attempt attached. I've added a bit of space above the bird and cloned out the spots, even though I know they weren't dust on the sensor.

I've saturated less than Rob has - on my monitor Rob's is a bit too blue and over-contrasty - and added a splash of sharpening.
