The first one is well done.

I'm not sure what to think on the second though. Maybe some background on the idea of it?

Was trying to mix up some things that her little girl will have such as the shoes with the shot and hand tinted a little to bring it out a little. Not for your taste?

IMHO, I love the pose in #1 but I don't like the backgound. I think it contrasts too much and doesn't compliment the maternity ( just a little wild and not serene ). I think #2 is great with the selctive coloring, but the composition is kinda boring. I think it could be greatly improved with a different angle. Something like a 45 degree angle to the body showing just the surface of the womb and the shoes and casting a light shadow upon it.

Regards,

Rob

When i saw the second shot i just went awwwwwwwww!!

I think it might look slightly better less cropped as if i didnt know it was a maternity shot it might have taken me a few seconds to actually work it out!

I'm not too crash hot on the background in the first (but the pose and smile are great)... the colors in the second are excellent :)

Thank you all for the feedback. I will try some of those other options with my wife this time, who is even farther along and post some more. I do agree the background of the first was way to bright once I pulled it on the monitor.
