I've shot in ridiculous downpours and even a blowing nor'easter on the beach - no issues.
One time at EPCOT, err, Epcot - it was so hot out... I put the lens cap on, put my thumb over the viewfinder and walked right into one of those "misting stations" and stood there for a good minute or two.

Wow now that takes some guts! I suppose I wouldn't have to worry about shooting at my friend's off-road adventure if it can survive all that. :)

Heheh. Off-roading is the other type of shooting I do with my gear. Deep muddy woods, open sandy hills, out in the dunes of the beach, on the rocks...

So I wouldn't worry. :)
