The sun came out for a split second while a couple of canoeists were sizing up the falls. Then as I was leaving I spotted the empty bridge and thought "Why not?", shame I didn't have my ND grad attached. :)

Nice shots Neil, #1 has a bit of movement in the trees and clouds, but hey it's the Uk it's always windy. ;)

Love #2, love the perspective, composition and great DOF.

More lovely work, Neil. I really like the second. Composition and monochrome are spot on. :D

Nice Neil. The first one has your trademark coffee-satin water, and the B&W one is very effective.

Love the first, one the sky almost gives a 3D effect to the photo, very nice.

The texture of the rocks in the FG Neil is fantastic along with those puffy clouds and the natural looking greens in the trees, beautiful shot. The B/W is also very effective with all the lines and the contrast, nice shot

I think I like the perspective of the falls with the bridge in your -2 thread, Neil. However, the sky and lighting definitely make this one hell of a beautiful shot. Too bad you didn't get an empty bridge for that one, too. The b/w one looks like a very old western (U.S.) scene.

Neil

The 1st shot I'd have given you a 9 1/2 out of ten, but your only getting a 9  the movement in the clouds kinda puts me off slighlty, I know how tough it is to include skies in shots like this, sometimes little or no cloud helps.

The 2nd shot is a good example of B&W conversion, I'm trying a few of these too, but as of late , I can't quite seem to find suitable subjects.

Cheers all. I rarely do B&W conversions but the grain of the bridge's wood and the stone wall gave me something to base a bit of contrast on. :)

9/10 :( - must try harder!!!
