This little guy was flitting amongst the clumps of reeds in the local waterways here. I have no idea what it is.

"Australian (Clamourous) Reed-Warbler. Flies low over water. May sing from taller trees near water. Bill dark above, pale below; slender. Eyebrow, throat cream. Upperparts plain warm brown; buffy-cream below. Size 17cm. Voice - Clear, sweet varied 'crut-crut-crut, deet-deet-deet, crotchy-crotchy-crotchy'; various scolding calls. Hab. Reed, cumbungi beds; willows; other dense vegetation near water." - Simpson & Day Field Guide to the Birds of Australia.

That looks like it! Thanks Justin.

Hehehe I love voice/call descriptions. But this bird had a brilliant sound, with alot of variations. I could have sat there listening to it all day. Quite loud for a small bird as well.
