This guy landed very close to me and seemed to be checking me out, to see if I was a threat or not. It turns out I was standing on a walkway directly over his nest.

Great shots a difficult bird to capture especially in flight. Not so much diffferent from his European cousin colour and markings. enjoyed viewing

Nice shots Dale. We have a pair of these that nesting under the back veranda. I got home from work this arvo and the young had flown the coop.
