Glen Lochay - Perthshire - Scotland

Seems every time I plan a days photography the weather gods insist otherwise, I was over on the Fife coast this afternoon, hoping to hang around till sundown, it just wasn't to be.

I hate the fact that as of late I've not had much luck with my days out, I think my summer trip to the Hebrides has scarred me for life

So I don't feel too down in the dumps I usually come home, stick on some music and head for the archives

I took these shots in Feb of this year, then, I didn't have a clue about PS, only now do I have a little ability in the digital darkroom to bring these shots to life.

Before I get a row for using ISO200 I had serious tripod issues that day and the thing was wobbling all over the place

They are still quality photographs it's just too bad the weather didn't cooperate more. They are very calm and gloomy which actually does remind me of Scotland so I wouldn't say you're too far off. Isn't this typical weather anyhow?

The 1st one is really nice. The 2nd is just missing the punch of the 1st.

I might start praying to the weather gods now, as i'm heading up to Rannoch next week, camping of all things!

Just don't let the gods know about the 22nd then. Otherwise the tornado that will appear courtesy of you and the gods will cause all of the autumn leaves to disappear just before we get there.

Is that a sheep on te rock in the first one? I like the first one for the composition butoth have the colours that remind me of Scotland!

very nice Scottie, moody and atmospheric and I like the portrait orientation of the second one.The sky is very realistic looking in both your shots, nice work

great shots mate. cant beat they views. if we had the sunshine all the time shots like this would be even more spectacular. even so, i really like these one's

I really like the first one a lot. I do like the second one too, but how you composed the mountains in the first image really caught my eye. Nice job!

#2 looks like it could be tweaked a little more, but I still prefer it over the 1st one. The rocks do a good job of leading the eye into the main subject in the background. Very nice image, Scottie.

Nice one Scott, Aye it'll get cold at night now, I love the Rannoch Area, If you get the chance be sure to visit the Rannoch station area and take the 10 minute walk down to Loch Laidon

Looking forward to you putting down your can of beer for a second or two and taking some shots for us

Cheers Neil Thats a funny big rock, I spotted that white part a good bit up the track, on further inspection it was indeed a Highland pigmy sheep

Thanks Jim Your kinda right about the 2nd shot not having that punch of colour like the 1st one. I can only really put that down to the light at the time.

I do like the 2nd shot too, the river is nowhere near as wide as the lens portrays it and I like the effect it gives.

The 1st one is a typical buggbairn shot with your sign.on it and the 2nd one reminds me of....hmmm , myself? maybe.

Not to worry buddy,when we get to Skye,the weather will be perfect for us...,if you believe that you can believe everything.
