Of Eigg:

IMAGE NOT FOUND
HTTP response: 404 | MIME changed to 'text/html' | Byte size: ZERO

Five images stitched in PS, shot with a Canon 10D and a 35f2 lens. Doing an assignment for the SWT last year, finally got round to stitching the images together . The beach is called Singing Sands and the view is of the Sound of Rum and Rum. Unfortunately the web sized resolution doesn't do the image any justice (it's a 6568 x 3004 image!).

Comments both good and bad is welcome. Sorry if the image goes off the edge of your screen...

Very nice I like
I think I would've gone for a tighter crop on the mountains in the background as I dont feel that the hill to the right adds anything

;)

As to the hill on the right, I was trying for the curve of the beach but I took a shot with my jacket in it hence it was unusable

Although i agree with SB about the right of the picture,i still think its a lovely one and profiles the beauty of Scotland very well.

Question...do they allow caravans on the island? is the ferry big enough for them?

Eigg is one of my future destinations.

Camping or B&B, no transport allowed on the island other than bikes. The only people on the island that have motor driven vehicles are locals.

The Shearwater is the better deal than the other ferry, and they do stop for wildlife if spotted apparently. You will need a few days with a bike to really get to appreciate the island fully, be careful of the hills though ;)

As to the hill, I've tried recropping but it seems to loose 'something' when doing it.

To be honest, I reckon you should keep it as it is. That hill makes the pic look almost otherworldly.
It's a great picture, and B&W really worked for you. Nice job.
