Yes the shots are awesome!

Word of advice, don't mug anyone with a 500mm or larger lens, I pack heat when i'm out in the field by myself in a shady area. ;) A little bear spray along with it doesn't hurt also. The mace hangin from my vest is a clear sign, but then the Knife in my vest side pocket is handy as well. :)

You guys do this lens proud. So many great shots, exceptional work everyone.

Tomorrow marks one month since my heart surgery, finally starting to get my energy back. The heat in the deep south isn't helping me get back in the swing of things but I have managed to get out in the last couple of weeks. The second Reddish Egret shot was taken recently, the others were taken between last year and the spring of this year. All shots hand held.

Thanks Kevin. I've been taking it slow, but if I'm lookin' I'm clickin'. It's a sickness, I know.

Sorry to hear about your complications from the surgery. I hope you're on the mend now. I'll be taking it slow and steady for a while, maybe the 100 degree temps will drop down to a tolerable level soon.

Sevan, excellent track shot. Very cool background car movement.

Guys, you do wonders with this lens, fantastic everyone!
Steve, I wish you a speedy full recovery :)

Here is a duck chasing off frogs, that was enjoying the sun on the piece of wood in the lake. Hefty crop.
