I won one on eBay earlier this week, but unfortunately I'm not sure if it's a scam or not. The seller described the condition of a watch in response to someone elses's question. When I asked for some sample pictures, he gave me some taken by an English photographer. He hasn't been answering any of my replies since then. What should I do? I don't want to risk my account with a failure to pay for this lens.

I would not send any money until you get a response from the seller. Sounds shaky to me, I'd probably ditch the transaction altogether.

Jay, great shot.

What method do you use to keep this image noise free? I can't see any noise in it at all.

Agreed, perfect angle and cropping! Have to say the same about the noise!

Best method is to mask the sky so you don't bend those pixels as much as those of your subject.

More 500 fun:

Thanks Jay! Great series again!
How come you changed your watermark? I kinda liked the old one more, but this one covers more for copyright.

Too many images showing up in places where I didn't put them.

Had to go to something (virtually) impossible to clone/crop out.

That's a shame Jay. Hope this one prevents it more!

Had the same issue last year. Two of my images were sold for $800 and I wasn't the seller.

Most upset. People bag me out for watermarking but it has to be done.

How does that work? Some bozo laid out $800 for images taken off the 'net? Were they high res?

Not entirely accurate, but no, it's not a development in our favor.

Not entirely but as close as a generalization can be ;) I do wonder how much money the "Government appointed agency" will get for their trouble, a percentage of any claims should they arise and perhaps a fee for looking in the first place.

Anyway, one from me before the holiday. Timed it bad to go away, the chicks have already left the nest (GSW chicks are generally hatched and gone within 3 weeks).
