Because of work I hadn't picked up a camera since my honeymoon back in February. Last week I finally got a day off and decided to play around with the 500mm which I hadn't touched in years. The autofocus on a Fuji body is very erratic. Sometimes it nails focus, other times it hunts for a good five seconds. I'll keep experimenting when I can get some time!

That's a shame about the af. Especially for such a great focusing lens. They work very well on semi-native Canon mirror less. Never tried adapted for Fuji.

I don't have the this version anymore, but I can tell you that the R5 is working great with every lens I put on it so far,. all EF. It's going to breather new life into my SIGMA 300-800mm
