The shots in this thread are absolutely phenomenal. I'll just go back to my 300 f/4 IS and pretend I never saw these...

Well that is a mighty fine lens as well. I have had very good luck with that 300mm f4L IS. Too bad i sold it to try out the sigma 150-500. :(

Ohhh! Lovely shots, Jay.
Thanks for the "extras".

I've only got one shot of me in an open cockpit....it was a 1932 (I think) Sopwith Camel (maybe) waaaaaay back in 1989 when I did a stunt flight for charity. I have to try to see if the pic came out with me to Japan and get it scanned....
Oh, what great memories!

You guessed it, it is the California Quail, our state bird. Glad to know that our state bird looks like an idiot. Well I guess it works our Governor is an idiot so way should our state bird look any smarter.

No opinion either way...

We have Gamble Quail here in AZ (did I spell that right?) and they're a lot of fun to watch. Especially when they've got chicks in tow.

Nice shot of the Northern Parula and the Black-throated Blue winged warbler. What did you manual set your flash too.
