That water looks VERY clear. Can you see fish swimming around? Is that what he had his eye on?
You are very perceptive ! That is his favorite passtime at the waters edge..and he's pretty good at it! In the other photo, the West Outlet, a very famous fishing spot for fly fishermen, There were a dozen or so guys wetting lines and not catching anything...so I'm taking photos and Myles is laying on the grating of the dam looking down at the water..all at once he hollars "hey look at that fish" , a few guys come over (as well as myself) look down and all yell at once.. "holy ****", and down there is a trout of better than 20 inches holding in the water at the abutment...so these guys are all scrambling for position to catch this fish and poor myles is forced out of his spot (now ya gotta remember myles doesn't talk to well)..so he heads across the dam to another spot and all at once he yells "HOLY ****"...there are three fish twice the size of the one he saw before (togue this time)..so I guess everyone learned a lesson this time, fishermen learned it's not always the longest cast, Myles learned how to cuss and I learned if I'm not going to get in trouble at home (he proudly exclames "Holy ****" now at every exciting event, I better keep him away from fishermen and probably sailors!!
and the second is sun setting low and catching the island at West Branch of the Kennebec ( 1 outlet at Moosehead lake)..CC welcome..hope I got all the dust bunnies!!
...PS#2 was not the 10-20, it was Tamron 28-75...
