today in the college grounds they waited for the door to open

IMAGE: http://www.pbase.com/image/68358250/original.jpg

I took that picture at a wrong angle and made a mess of it when I skewed it slightly
trying to straighten it
only saw that later

I shook this other shot a little when taking it.
it's a pity as I had the building straight behind (not like in the other)
also the colouring seems off as I think I had 'cloudy' setting instead of sunshine
but I liked the overall dreamy look of the girls sitting there and I think the off colour helped in a way

not too sure though

Marie: I don't find the slight tilt to the building that distracting in the first photo, being as how the girls are the main subject matter, you do tend to focus more on them and what they are doing. The second one does have a certain softess to it that is nice, however I do like the colours better in the first.

A well captured image. I like the way they all need to be touching or in their bags:D The angle doesn't bother me either.

I like the shot but the angled walls are a bit distracting to me.

If you have Photoshop you should be able to adjust it by cropping it with using perspective control (or what ever it is called) enabled. I can't explain it better than that since I'm at work and Photoshop is at home, but if you want let me know and I'll try to explain it better or fix it for you.

I have the original here showing the 'before I tried to skew' it Rugger Joe
if you like to fix the angle thats great

I cropped the letter box off as it had shapes ( or something) showing in it

thanks

thanks very much Sandy

I loved how the girls looked sitting there

the tilt was a bit annoying
I was so concentrating on the girls and the lens
loved the door behind them but with stonework like it (markings etc)it has to be watched more closely when taking a shot
and I didn't want it fuzzy either (boket or whatever)

showed the second shot mainly to show how lovely the girl to the left is
thought they all looked beautiful

they smiled and waved at me when I took the shots

the funny thing is , a short while earlier I had taken a shot of three girls near another building not too far away

but I didn't realise two of the girls were the same as in the photo taken a while later ........ until I looked at all the shots that evening on the computer
there were so many people around
I had shook the camera when I took all the shots

thanks again

:)
here is the shot of the three girls before the other shot
and me never knew I was taking the same two girls as the other two caught my eye in the shots above
and in this one the long legged girl caught my eye

That last one reminds me of the "Birds of London" in 1970, walking with their open Maxie coats & mini skirts, legs flashing in the Winter sunshine!

they smiled and waved at me when I took the shots

Yeah, well if I'd taken it, they'd have called me a perv & thrown a book at me? :D

I remember those fashions you mention Frank
brr

[SIZE=2] good to have something (anything) flashing in the winter sunshine though

maybe the girls would have thought a man taking the shots a perv ^
maybe not
a lot could depend on his approach . he only has to ask

and they have only got to refuse

:-|

thanks

you are dead right , thanks Sandy

I had the three girls down as being the same but then I saw a different jacket on that other girl when I was posting the picture here
and thought ..just two
but now I see the whole outfit, the boots and bag etc
the green jumper had caught my eye
but then the brown jacket threw me a bit (when I saw the picture posted)
but it is the same girl
nice to see both sides of her

:)
thanks
