Special for Dante

Hey Dante, as promised, here is the head water of the roach river..I'm standing on a bridge looking at the dam at first roach pond and turning around and looking down the first 100 yards of river..some of the best freshwater (land locked) salmon flyfishing in the world...Not much to look at as far as rivers and scenery in Maine...but once you have waded it and fished it on a good day..."almost heaven" as the song goes..

I don't blame him if he did. This place looks pretty inviting. You could fish right off the back porch. Nice pictures peachman!

Those old camps were luxury in their day...all part of Kokadjo trading post...The have nice new log homes on the lake to rent,,,but these can still be had for $75/night and are full all summer and winter (ice fishing and snow mobiling) thanks dedsen
