Hi there,
here are some more waterbird shots from today. The swan shot amused me the way she/he let the cygnets in a row to feed on bread my wife was feeding them. Although they were allowed to eat bread the parents always kept themselves between the cygnets and my wife. Also you may be interested to know this lake is in the middle of town and is 6km around, and swans have right of way on the roads. We have to give way to all the waterbirds lol, occasionally you get an idiot who will not give way and the birds get hit and killed.
Picture 2 is a pair of Australian hardhead ducks the female is the duck flapping it's wings. These were all shot with a 70-200mm F/4 L lens.
Picture 3 is a white faced heron. In breeding dress, however the feathers are a bit tatty now.
Comments always welcome
Regards Darren
