Excellent seagull captures...as sharp and well exposed as anything I've seen.
Only one thing.....the entire image consists of the BACKGROUND and the BIRD.
For that ideal image, we really must pay appropriate attention to both.
In other words, your background is good, but it does not quite harmonize with the bird which is excellent.
See ?
Now, let me try to find some really good examples to illustrate this lesson.;)
(Geez, these PIPers, so competitive:rolleyes: )

OK, OK wayne.
I have found a couple of other shots where I've been paying attention to the background, to the point of positioning myself in such a way that I get it in the shot.....then I just had to wait for a seagull to fly into the frame.:D

ahhhhhh i see what your getting at , but I think I like the second better which is funny because with it's less discernable background it kind of goes against what your showing me

Yeah, many times it will be better if you can blur it...sometimes, you wanna keep it more clear....it depends on so many factors.:D

F/7.1......conservative with the 85f/1.8 lens. Could have gone to f/9.0 for even a bit more D0F, and still retain shutter speed about 1/800-100o sec.
