Regular Duckshots with Irregular Lens

Realising that Lomography is not everyone's cuppa tea, here is a more ordinary fare. However, to make it interesting, shot those with the 135 mm SF lens.
Naturally, no cropping/PP of any kind, all handheld.

Thank you Skydolphins, yes, these are a bit sharper although the same lens has been used.

Nice Lomo' ...that SF sure stands on it's own being designed soft and all....

Thank you Steve/Shelly......the lens is not quite on par with the 135L IQ-wise, but it's pretty darn close. In fact, quite remarkable for a lens that inexpensive.

Well, Peter. nice to see you back. I see you have the usual passion for the the ordinary Mallard, a rare photographic treat. Well done.

I have always liked your sense of humour, Dennis ole bean.
I also hope you will retain it even by the time you reach my age.

having once owned this lens i know the challange it gives so these are not bad at all ,i found it one of the hardest len's to use and get the shot right using the soft focus, as the apture you use changes how soft the image will be .

Thank you Rob. The lens does require a bit of getting the feel for the softening amount. What has been bugging me most though is that I can not do an image post mortem analysis based on the exif data. The softening setting is not picked up.
Incidentally, I have a similar problem with the IS ON/OFF signal....no exif.

I know that to many girly bird shooters that does not mean much because they have IS on permanently even on their 300 mm lenses.

I know what you mean,as regards the SF lens the only way to find the soft setting / apture combonation that you like is to do test's on No1 and No2 setting and right it down .all i can rember is at max SF and wide open its way over the top and to much detail is lost .
