The tracking says it will be here on Monday next week... I am going out to the airport this weekend and I was hoping to get some shots with my new lens. I guess there is very little chance it will get here tomorrow (friday) now.:(

I would.. but my Dad has the credit card and he isnt the pro active kinda guy, he likes to wait for things. I will ask him if we can call them, but he'll say "they will call us when they're ready". GODDAMNIT!! Ill end up getting it Monday, unless they call really early.

I just asked him if we could call them in the morning, and quoting him, he said "Im not gonna call them, they'll call us". Oh well, all i can hope for is that they call in the morning early.

I own the 70-200mm F2.8 Non IS and couldnt be happier, its quick its sharp its got a lovely meaty weight to it, its perfect, i dont need IS so didnt bother buying IS version. Picked this lens up second hand for a fraction of its rrp due to very nice retired photographer! There is no point spending more on something if you don't think you will use it and if not then these lenses keep their value fairly well after!

I also have 2x 580ex flashes, quick and easy to use, nothing beats them, i should of probably gone for one 580ex and a 430ex but got a bargain deal on second 580ex with my 70-200mm so bought that aswell! :)

Anyway good luck with the purchase and keep snapping!

This is how it works:

They'll call you to say that a package has arrived for which customs needs to be paid.

You can pay this by Credit Card normally.

Once you pay the goods are then scheduled for delivery by the local freight forwarders.

Meaning you won't get the lens until Monday at the earliest.

If you call and ask early, you can go in and pay for the duty and pick up the parcel all at the same time.

Just ring and ask them if it's ready for collection. If it is, then just tell your Dad its ready - what's the big deal?

Hey,

Let me know how much tax you incurred for the order, I'm thinking about ordering some stuff from the states too. Can't wait to see shots from your new lens, I'm thinking about getting the same lens!

Cheers
Willz
