Kids!
Normally my daughter won't look at the camera, but last weekend she decided that she wanted to pose for me.
This is the best, its a pity about the runny nose and remains of her picnic on her face.

Cute kid. Wish you used some fill flash to reduce the shadows on her face. Maybe shoot with the source of light behind your back?

I dont think the shadows are too bad. If the sun had been behind the OP's back his daughter would then have been screwing her face up 'cos the sun was in her eyes.

Fill flash may have been overkill also, the general level of light seems fairly high - if anything a simple reflector would have worked to just lighten the shadows a tad, but I'm not sure it's needed. (BTW, I can't see any picnic!)

Lovely photo though. :-)
