Well she never said "hey first time using my B1600 and giant softbox on an unsuspecting thong girl. Please critique."

 good one. Indeed, it is a snapshot. I couldn't rightly ask her to turn a bit to the right to catch the light just so!

"Hey I don't like the way the sun's hitting your moon. Can you turn cockwise...I mean clockwise...to the right about 3 degrees?"

No such thing as snapshot. You should've waited for the decisive moment!

looks like a snapshot to me...

Nonsense, Kristine judiciously followed the rule of thirds. The shot is one third shack, one third track, and one third crack!

 Very funny Curtis! Do you sit for a while and formulate those comments, or do they just flow naturally?

hey, hey, let's not descend into a discussion about flow. :p

It's her thread. She can sewer it if she wants. Hell it's already been guttered. It's not much of a drop to the bottom. :)

Now thats funny. ;)

Didn't MEAN (yes I can be ) to sound harsh. My apologies, I thought I was in the critique forum.

2 EOS 1 mkII Dn's, 24-70 2.8L,70-200 2.8L,14 prime 2.8L,100 macro 2.8, metz, metz, and more metz...plus a whole load of other stuff that really is unimportant. It all about the picture, not the tool.
Had the 1ds for a few weeks then realised was overkill. Bought 5d and the 400mm instead.

LMAO!!! Now that's got to be the post of the year.

You could also add that she followed another guideline of placing emphasis by making her the largest thing in the frame, but I doubt that she(the girl in the thong) would be all that thrilled with knowing that.

Now I think you should have, and then photographed the expression she made afterward... hahahah would have been priceless.

...and then my husband could have taken a shot of my black eye! The crowd was so tough that they had to make this a day game b/c of fear of violence... nice place to bring the kids, huh?!
