Ok I didn't care for B&W too much when I tried it. So what I did was lower the opacity of the B&W layer to I think 70% and add 1.2% noise to get this:

I think the blown faces gives the pic a soft feel which really works for me. Great picture IMO. Although I love B&W pics I think I like #1 better. The softness in the faces just captures the moment perfectly.

B&W is better, concentrates on form and composition and lets the Aaaah factor come out. i find the colours of the grass and the background in the first one distracting.

I was just about to ask, did you PSed it to make it glow or is it just slightly out of focus. one way of the other, it turns out beautiful.

It works great for shots like this
