This lens is simple awesome. Small, light, sharp wide open and produces nice bokeh. Who wants a 135L? Not me :D

This one is a bokeh panorama / Brenizer method tryout

Both shots taken at f/2.

I agree 100% and even though you don't say what body you're using, if it is a crop that makes the 100mm f2 the same as a 160mm. For my shooting (with a crop body), the 100mm fits best for me.

Canon 5D 100/f2 12mm extension tube, Qbox 24 camera right as close as I could get it and be out of the picture. Metz 58-AF 1/2 power.

[QUOTE=professoryeti;12482304]Are you sure you're not talking about the 100 f/2.8 Macro?
Oops! wrong thread. Yes, it is the 100mm macro that weighs a tona I'm keeping it and still testing when I have time. I've yet to try it with a tripod but when my daughter gives it back I will..LOL. off to find that other thread..

Canon 5D w/ 100 mm F/2. I used an extension tube but I can't remember which one or how many! This poppy is pretty big so probably just 12 mm. Qbox 24 camera right, fairly high but real close w/ Metz 58AF 1/4 power.

Back to something that is more in my comfort zone!;) With my new 1DMkIV at ISO 6400. Had to clean up the luminance noise a little in LR3 and a little sharpness was lost. But this is wide open. Man, I love this lens for indoor low light shooting!:D

These were all done with Canon 5D and, of course, the 100 F/2. All had extension tubes, at least one 12, or possibly all three (12, 24, 36mm). All were lit with Qbox 24 with either Metz 58 AF or Canon 580.
