I think it's a great lens for the money...

yes, a touch soft...and the focus on it is really slow. but seriously...the price is great.

I wouldn't mind having canon's Canon EF 28mm f1.8 USM either for a bit more of a wide shot...I find the 50mm is too zoomed.

So...in other words...the price is the only thing good about it...

Did you lose Digital Photo Professional (DPP)? Get it here (external link). Cursing at your worse-than-a-map reflector? Check out this vid! (external link)

I could be wrong but I think part of the price difference in the UK and US is the UK price includes VAT.

Also think that everything is sent to the UK with a price tag in US dollars and all they do is change the dollar sign to lb sign instead of doing the conversion LOL

PS Great portait lens on 1.6 bodies, hell how can you go wrong for $70.00

Mike

OMG I saw a nipple, my eye's are bleeding!

If you're gonna go the online route, I got one from an Ebay seller for just over £50 delivered. It was sent as a gift and avoided any further charges at my end. As discussed though, a bit difficult to return if it's a lemon.
