a540 problem with CameraWindow

Hi there,

Just got my a540 last night. Installed the Canon Utility Disc, and connected the camera.
The autoplay window comes up, I choose CameraWindow, and nothing happens.

If I go to the ZoomBrowser, and to Aquire, same happens there. I ask to connect to the camera, and nothing loads.

I've updated to the latest version, tried reinstalling, drivers as well, nothing helps.
Is this a known issue? Any solutions?

Just do this following steps and I think it will fix your problem.

klick>start>Run type " services.msc " click OK.
check all of these options:
"Canon Camera Access Library 8" change it to "Automatic"

"SSDP Discovery Service " change it to "automatic"
" Windows Image Acquisition" change it to "automatic"

close.
and restart windows...

Setting the SSDP Discovery Service to automatic worked for me too!
I spent hours fixing this problem... till i came upon this post. Doesn't Canon know about this Windows setting?
