Do most people who travel bring extra batteries, or would you get something to allow you to charge the camera on 220 volts? (instead of our 110).

Mar 07, 2002 21:04 | #2 I just noticed on my AC charger that it says input 120V -240V. I assume this means that with a plug adapter, this camera can be plugged in world wide? Is that really what that means? Has anyone used their charger in both the US and Europe?

Your canon power adapter should go from 100-240v at 50-60Hz (look on your physical adapter). That covers almost everywhere worldwide, so yes you would just need a plug adapter in the great majority of Europe (I can not think of any exceptions). I use mine in Hong Kong (which has the same voltage as England) with no problems.
