Gary - why infrared? why not. Infrared has many unique properties that distinguish it from standard colour/B&W photography, and allows exploration of an altogether different (invisible) light.

Both pictures have a great wow factor, but capturing that cloud (especially in the first one here) makes them into "WOW" shots! Very nice.
