This is my second attempt at a picture I took mid - summer this year. I'm a bit more impressed with this than the last one so I hope im improving !. I wanted to try and capture some movement in the water as I really love that effect. Unfortunately some of the sharpness has gone due to compressing it :( . Thanks for looking and all comments are welcome as usual!!:)

I think it's a great shot.

I must admit that 3/4 up the picture is just gorgeous, the bottom 1/4 though could be improved.
The high angle and the concrete blocks do not add anything to the image,i would rather see the camera lower to the ground and get as much sand detail possible.

I agree with Dimitri's comments.

Otherwise the top portions of the photo are perfect!

Wow, that's kind of ironic. Before I read any replies, I tried some different crops to try to get rid of that bottom bit. On top of shooting this from a lower perspective, I think I would try getting right up to the water and let it and the pier lead the eye into the shot.

It's a great shot if you can sort out the foreground.

The water looks ghostly... now if you get some footprints leading into the water... :)

Photographs are records of life. Pity they don't make music when you put them in a record player. :p

Nice shot, and a pleasing interplay of soft and hard, ags007 has a good point.
This place has so many photo possibilities :)

I like it alot, perhaps a bit too much foreground as others have said but I cannot see much of a way around it while keeping the mood. So I wouldn't change it. I also lke the exposure you have used n the sea, it still has some shape and texture, not just a white mist.

Great shot! :)

Thanks for all your comments!!. I agree about the foreground (ie bottom 1/4 of pic). I reacon I'll crop that out and see whay it's like without it. That footprint idea is a great one...I'm gonna remember that!!!!
