Playing around with my camera, trying to get better.

"Emma", my English Bulldog, in a pensive mood...

The shots, of all of your family, are beautiful! - what does Emma do when the bus arrives? Is that the road in the distance?

I almost forgot MY cat...

I know the picture isn't that good...but the look on his face cracks me up and I had to share it with you.

The setting wasn't ideal...but this cat will NOT pose for a picture (you can see how happy he is to be having his picture taken). The second you point the camera his direction he takes off like he was shot out of a canon (actually, he was shot WITH a Canon). I had to sneak across the floor to the foot of the bed, pop up and snap the pic before he bolted . Unfortunately because of my close proximity, the flash bounce makes the picture look harsh and over-exposed....but for some reason I still like it. Perhaps because its one of the ONLY pictures I have of him where he's not sleeping!!

Very nice looking 'family' you have there! I've wanted an English Bulldog for years. They're just so adorable!! Someday, I'll be owned by one! :)

Yes, that's our street just beyond our (white) driveway walls. As soon as she sees the bus, she's up on all fours...but she waits until the girls hit the driveway before running to greet them. She's done that since she was a little puppy (she's only 3 now), she'll start barking to go outside at 3:15 every weekday...and its hard to get her back in the house when the girls have to stay after school for sports activities and such.

Yeah, that's my favorite one too...but because of the subjects, not the technique. Her cat opened his eyes after I took that, so I snapped another one of him, cropped it down to his eye, altered it in CS2...and that is what became my avatar!!

Outside the the Swan, the pet picture that appeals to me the most is the second shot. It has a center of interest and the background is very appealing leading the eye off into the distance.

Thank you. I attempted to capture a shot from her perspective, but I dont have an angle finder adapter (yet)...so I had to sit (Indian style) and bend forward to get down to her level. I was very pleased at the way it turned out.
