Can you explain that beach? It looks wet, but where are the waves? It looks like the tides gone out, leaving the sand wet. 1DsMkIII | 1DMkIIN | 70-200 f/2.8L IS | 24-70 f/2.8L | 24-105 f/4L IS | 17-40 f/4L | 50 f/1.2L | WFT-E1 & E2 Transmitters - Click Here for setup advice | CP-E4 Battery Pack x 2 | ST-E2 | 580EX | 550EX | 430EXII | 420EX | Tripod + monopod | Bowens Esprit Gemini 500W/s heads & Travel-Pak | All this gear - and still no idea

Seriosuly, it's a beach in northern germany, where you find the Wattmeer, those vast areas where the sea retracts several kilometers during the tide. One then can walk on the sandy ground with some water streams in between. Very nice area I must say. I can imagine. I've never experienced a beach like that before. Here in these parts, the waves come in and go out leaving only about 5-10 feet of wetness. - 5D & 60D (x2), EFS 10-22, EF 17-40L, EF 50 f1.4, EF 24-105L, EF 100-400 L IS

Oct 14, 2006 03:48 | #12 Thanks, folks. About the horizon... The horizon itself should be pretty straight, but... that what can be taken as a sealevel isn't really watrer but sand that runs down to the left side. So it actually is slightly tilted. If I adjust the shot to compensate for that, then the actual horizon line with the trees in the background is tilted to the right More on my BLOG
